Functional Implementations of Continuos Modeled Animation
نویسنده
چکیده
Animation is a temporally continuous phenomenon, but is typically programmed in terms of a discrete sequence of changes. The use of discreteness serves to accommodate the machine that is presenting an animation, rather than the person modeling an animation with the help of a computer. Using a continuous model of time for animation allows for natural speciication, avoiding some artiicial details, but is dif-cult to implement with generality, robustness and eeciency. This paper presents and motivates continuous modeled animation, and sketches out a naive functional implementation for it. An examination of some of the practical problems with this implementation leads to several alternate representations, all of which have diiculties in themselves, some quite subtle. We hope that the insights and techniques discussed in this paper lead to still better representations, so that animation may be speciied in natural terms without signiicant loss of performance.

متن کاملA Holographic Animation System Based on HoloprojectionE
We report the implementation of a system for displaying three-dimensional anima-tions based on holoprojection. It is based in the holoprojection of two-dimensional slices (produced by a modiied ray tracing program) of three-dimensional scenes. The nal display is a truly spatial three-dimensional image with continuos horizontal parallax. It makes use of the holographic screen, a special diiracti...
متن کاملThe Benefits and implementations of Diffusion tensor imaging and Neural Fiber Tractography in Brain Surgery
Background and Aim: The methods for detecting brain activation with fMRI, MRI provides a way to measure the anatomical connections which enable lightning-fast communication among neurons that specialize in different kinds of brain functions. Diffusion tensor imaging is able to measure the direction of bundles of the axonal fibers which are all aligned. Besides mapping white matter fiber tracts,...
متن کاملThe Study of Education Based on Animation in Patient’s Performance under Hemodialysis in Emergency Evacuation Selected Hospitals of Aja
Introduction: A disaster evacuation program is one of the most important parts of hospital crisis management. The following study was carried out to determine the effects of animation-based teaching on hemodialysis patients’ performance in an emergency evacuation. Material and Method: In this quasi-experimental study, two out of four AJA Hospitals in Tehran that had hemodialysis wards, were sel...
متن کاملBehavioral Animation Modeling in the WindowsTM Environment
This paper describes an interactive system for the production of modeled animation. It implements the concept of behavioral animation, providing tools for the definition of actors, behaviors and complete scenes. Actors, behaviors and scenes are modeled following an object-oriented approach. Behaviors can be attached to classes of actors. A prototype was implemented in MS-Windows environment, fo...
